Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, The Lego Movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, 21/22 Jump Street, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Croods: A New Age) is the composer of the upcoming Netflix original series The Residence. The show is created by Paul William Davies (For the People) and stars Uzo Aduba, Giancarlo Esposito, Randall Park, Susan Kelechi Watson, Molly Griggs, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Jason Lee, Edwina Findley, Ken Marino and Al Mitchell. The crime comedy revolves around a brilliant, eccentric detective who must solve a murder in the White House residence, where the staff and guests at a state dinner are all suspects. Davies is also executive producing the Shondaland production with Shonda Rhimes & Betsy Beers (Bridgerton, Grey’s Anatomy), as well as Liza Johnson (Elvis & Nixon, Hateship, Loveship) who also directed the first two episode. The series will premiere on March 20 exclusively on Netflix.
Also coming up for Mothersbaugh is Jared Hess’ A Minecraft Movie (to be released in theaters on April 4 by Warner Bros. Pictures).
