Amanda Jones (Naomi, Mea Culpa, Emperor of Ocean Park, Super/Natural, The Perfect Find, Young Love, Good Trouble) has recently been scoring the upcoming Apple TV+ original series Murderbot. The show is created by Chris Weitz & Paul Weitz (About a Boy, American Pie) based on Martha Wells’ bestselling book series of the same name and stars Alexander Skarsgård, Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Akshay Khanna, Sabrina Wu, Tattiawna Jones and Tamara Podemski. The sci-fi comedic thriller revolves around a self-hacking security construct who is horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable clients who must hide its free will and complete a dangerous assignment when all it really wants is to be left alone. The Weitz brothers & Skarsgård are also executive producing the Paramount Television Studios production with Andrew Miano (The Farewell, A Single Man), David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight, Batman Begins) and Keith Levine (The First Omen, The Night House). Jones has previously scored the Paul Weitz-directed feature Moving On. Murderbot will premiere on May 16 exclusively on Apple TV+.
