Dubois Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC drama Miss Austen. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Dominik Scherrer (The Missing, The TouristPrimeval, The WidowBaptisteRipper StreetThe Serpent, Requiem, The Confessions of Frannie Langton). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 19 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon or any other major digital music services. Miss Austen is written by Andrea Gibb based on the bestselling novel by Gill Hornby and stars Keeley Hawes, Rose Leslie, Patsy Ferran, Synnøve Karlsen, Phyllis Logan, Max Irons, Alfred Enoch, Jessica Hynes, Kevin McNally, Mirren Mack, Calam Lynch and Liv Hill. The 4-part series reimagines the historic literary mystery of the notorious burning of Jane Austen’s letters by her sister Cassandra. The period drama premiered in the UK over the last few weeks on BBC One (with the finale scheduled to debut this Sunday) and will make its U.S. premiere on May 4 on PBS.
