Hippocampus has released a soundtrack album for the French drama Call of Water (Par amour). The album features the film’s original music composed by Rob (aka Robin Coudert) (Revenge, Gretel & Hansel, Maniac, Never Let Go, Other People’s ChildrenHorns, Troy: Fall of a City, Amityville: The Awakening). Call of Water is co-written and directed by Élise Otzenberger and stars Cécile de France, Darius Zarrabian, Arthur Igual and Navid Zarrabian. The movie revolves around a a mother coping with a troubled marriage whose son claims he can hear the voices of extraterrestrial beings underwater. The drama premiered at last year’s Sitges Film Festival and just opened in French theaters last Wednesday. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
