Mississippi Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 2006 indie drama Old Joy written and directed by Kelly Reichardt and starring Lars Knudsen, Neil Kopp, Anish Savjani and Jay Van Hoy. The 6-track EP features the film’s original score composed by the indie rock band Yo La Tengo (Junebug, Adventureland, Shortbus, Far from the Tree). The soundtrack will be released digitally and (for the first time) on vinyl on February 28. Visit Amazon to pre-order the soundtrack in both formats and also listen the band’s first track (Leaving Home) below. The music has previously been released as part of Yo La Tengo’s compilation album They Shoot, We Score. Old Joy follows two old friends as they reunite for a weekend camping trip in the Cascade mountain range east of Portland, Oregon. The movie, which premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, was released in select U.S. theaters later that year by Kino International and is now available to stream on Max and to purchase (as part of the Criterion Collection) on Blu-ray and DVD.

2. Getting Lost (3:30)
3. Path to Springs (1:41)
4. Driving Home (3:49)
