Deadline is reporting that Rudy Mancuso is attached to compose the music for his second feature directorial effort, Stand-In. The film follows a Hollywood-obsessed stand-in who seizes his chance to shine after a series of events leads to the disappearance of the actor he’s standing in for. Mancuso is also writing the screenplay with Dan Lagana (American Vandal, The Babysitter: Killer Queen) based on a story by Andy Muschietti (It, The Flash) who is also producing the Amazon MGM Studios production with Barbara Muschietti (Locke & Key). Mancusco has previously written both the score and songs for his feature directorial debut, Música, which premiered in early 2024 on Prime Video. Stand-In is currently in development.
As previously reported, Mancuso is also scoring the upcoming indie horror feature Woozy.
