Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Soul, Watchmen, Gone Girl, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Empire of Light) have recently been scoring the upcoming thriller After the Hunt. The film is directed by Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name, Suspiria) and stars Julia Roberts, Andrew Garfield, Ayo Edebiri, Michael Stuhlbarg, Chloë Sevigny, Lío Mehiel, Will Price, Thaddea Graham, Christine Dye and Burgess Byrd. The movie follows a college professor who finds herself at a professional and personal crossroads when a star pupil levels an accusation against one of her colleagues and a dark secret from her own past threatens to come to light. Nora Garrett wrote the screenplay. Guadagnino is also producing the project with Imagine Entertainment’s Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13) and Allan Mandelbaum (Fair Play, No One Will Save You). Reznor & Ross have previously scored Guadagnino’s last three features, Bones and All, Challengers and Queer. After the Hunt is expected to be released in theaters next year by Amazon MGM Studios.
Reznor & Ross also have Scott Derrickson’s The Gorge (to premiere on February 14, 2025 on Apple TV+) and Joachim Rønning’s Tron: Ares (as Nine Inch Nails) coming up. Naughty Dog has also just announced this week that they will be composing the music for the video game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which currently in development for the PlayStation 5 console.
