Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Sugarcane. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mali Obomsawin. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 10 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the title track below. Sugarcane is directed by Julian Brave NoiseCat & Emily Kassie, executive produced by actress Lily Gladstone and centers on an investigation into abuse and missing children at an Indian residential school that ignites a reckoning on the nearby Sugarcane Reserve. The documentary premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where it received the U.S. Documentary Competition Directing Award. The movie was released in select theaters this past August by National Geographic Documentary Films & Variance Films and is premiering tonight on National Geographic before its streaming debut tomorrow on Disney+ and Hulu.
