Composer Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Alien: Romulus, Blade Runner 2049, Twisters, Shazam!, Hidden Figures, Annabelle Creation) is reteaming with director Leigh Whannell on the upcoming horror thriller Wolf Man. The film starring Christopher Abbott, Julia Garner, Matlida Firth, Sam Jaeger, Ben Prendergast, Benedict Hardie, Beatriz Romilly, Zac Chandler & Milo Cawthorne follows a San Francisco husband and father who returns to his childhood home in rural Oregon with his wife and young daughter, where he gets attacked by an unseen animal and begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable. Whannell (Upgrade, Insidious: Chapter 3) also co-wrote the screenplay with Corbett Tuck. Jason Blum (Get Out, Paranormal Activity) is producing the project with Ryan Gosling. Wallfisch has previously scored Whannell’s last feature, The Invisible Man. Wolf Man will be released in theaters nationwide on January 17, 2025 by Universal Pictures.
Also coming up for Wallfisch are J.C. Chandor’s Kraven the Hunter (to be released on December 13, 2024) and Simon McQuoid’s Mortal Kombat 2 (to be released on October 24, 2025)
