Netflix Music has released a new soundtrack album for the German Netflix original series The Empress (Die Kaiserin). The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Johannes Lehniger (Nothing Bad Can Happen, Raus), Lisa Morgenstern & Sebastian Damerius (Sleep, Pelican Blood). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Also listen to the composers’ first track and the Season 2 main titles track after the jump. The label has previously released an album featuring the trio’s score from Season 1 back in 2022. The Empress is created by Katharina Eyssen and stars Devrim Lingnau, Philip Froissant, Melika Foroutan, Almila Bagriacik, Johannes Nussbaum, Alexander Finkenwirth, Runa Greiner, Josephine Thiesen and Christophe Favre. The second season of the series, which follows Empress Elisabeth & Emperor Franz as they must fight not only for the continuation of their empire but also for their marriage, is premiering today exclusively on Netflix.
