West Dylan Thordson (Split, Glass, Unsolved Mysteries, Foxcatcher, Joy) has teamed up with Kat Vokes to score the upcoming Netflix original film The Sand Castle. The movie is directed by Matty Brown and stars Nadine Labaki, Zain & Reman Al Rafeea and Ziad Bakri. The thriller revolves around an Arabic family of four who get stuck on a seemingly idyllic island, where they begin to uncover dark secrets that they struggle to keep from their youngest. Brown also co-wrote the screenplay with Yassmina Karajah and Hend Fakhroo.Gianluca Chakra (Perfect Strangers, Luxor) is producing the project for Front Row Filmed Entertainment, alongside Mario Jr. Haddad for Empire Entertainment, Houston King (Hearts Beat Loud, The Hero) for HK Films and Mandy Ward (Almost Love) for Akward Production. The Sand Castle will premiere on January 24, 2025 on Netflix. (Variety)
