Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the comedy Rumours. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kristian Eidnes Andersen (Antichrist, Vivarium, The Playlist, Ida, Nobel, The Man Who Saved the World, Petra). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first track (Maxime Carries Sylvain) after the jump. Rumours is directed by Guy Maddin with longtime collaborators Evan Johnson & Galen Johnson and stars Cate Blanchett, Alicia Vikander, Roy Dupuis, Charles Dance, Denis Ménochet, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Rolando Ravello, Takehiro Hira and Zlatko Burić. The movie follows the seven leaders of the wealthiest liberal democracies in the world attending their annual G7 summit, when they get lost in the woods at night while attempting to draft their provisional statement. The comedy premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and is being released in select U.S. theaters this weekend by Bleecker Street.
