Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the Norwegian drama Armand. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ella van der Woude (Take Me Somewhere Nice, Above the Dust, Something You Said Last Night, Instinct, Stranger in Paradise). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first track (With Me) after the jump. Armand is written and directed by Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel and stars Renate Reinsve, Ellen Dorrit Petersen, Thea Lambrechts Vaulen, Øystein Røger, Endre Hellestveit and Vera Veljovic. The movie, which has recently been selected as Norway’s entry for the International Feature category for next year’s Academy Awards, follows a local actress who gets caught up in an elementary school drama when her son is accused by a classmate of sexual abuse. The drama, which premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, just opened in Norwegian theaters this past weekend and has been picked up by IFC Films for a domestic release in the coming months.
