James Jandrisch (Reasonable Doubt, Houdini and Doyle, Luck, Dangerous Lies, 2 Hearts, Tiny Pretty Things, Somewhere Between) is scoring the new FOX drama Murder in a Small Town. The show is based on nine-book Karl Alberg series by novelist L.R. Wright and stars Rossif Sutherland, Kristin Kreuk, Mya Lowe, Aaron Douglas, Savonna Spracklin and Fritzy-Klevans Destine, as well as special guest stars James Cromwell, Stana Katic, Paula Patton and Noah Reid. The murder mystery series follows a man who moves to a quiet coastal town to soothe a psyche that has been battered by big-city police work, when gets called upon all the skills that made him a world-class detective in solving the murders that continue to wash up on his shore. Ian Weir (Arctic Air, Edgemont) serves as the project’s head writer and is also executive producing the Sepia Films and FOX Entertainment production with Milan Cheylov (Accused) who also directed multiple episodes, as well as Nick Orchard, Morris Ruskin (Night of the Hunted) and Sharon Wisnia and Jon Cotton. Murder in a Small Town will premiere on Tuesday, September 24 on FOX and will also be available to stream on Hulu.
