Tommy Reilly (Anna and the Apocalypse, Our Ladies, Dinosaur) is making his solo television scoring debut on the new BBC drama Nightsleeper. The show is created by Nick Leather (Murdered for Being Different, The Control Room) and stars Alexandra Roach, Joe Cole, Alex Ferns, James Cosmo, Sharon Small, David Threlfall, Lois Chimimba, Daniel Cahill, Gabriel Howell, Leah MacRae, Katie Leung, Scott Reid, Ruth Madeley, Pamela Nomvete, Adam Mitchell, Sharon Rooney and Parth Thakerar. The 6-part thriller follows an off-duty police officer who is a passenger on a train that gets ‘hackjacked’ while traveling from Glasgow to London and has to work together with the acting technical director at the National Cyber Security Centre to work out who is behind this. Leather is also producing the project with Euston Films’ Kate Harwood (David Copperfield, Hard Sun), Jamie Magnus Stone (who also directed several episode) and Gaynor Holmes (Call the Midwife, Vigil). Nightsleeper will premiere in the UK this coming Sunday, September 15 on BBC One.
