Composer Fernando Velázquez (A Monster CallsThe Impossible, Crimson PeakThe Orphanage, HerculesPride and Prejudice and ZombiesDevil) is reuniting with writer/director Oriol Paulo on the upcoming Spanish Netflix limited series The Last Night at Tremore Beach (La última noche en Tremor Beach). The show is created, co-written and directed by Paulo and stars Javier Rey, Ana Polvorosa, Willy Toledo and Pilar Castro. The 8-part psychological thriller is based on the best-selling novel of the same title by Mikel Santiago and follows a musician and composer in crisis who retreats into a coastal village in the north to finish his latest work, when he begins to experience some terrifying visions about his neighbors. Paulo is also producing the Acantilado Studio, Sospecha Films, Think Studio, Colosé Producciones & Juanita Films production with Sandra Hermida. Velazquez has previously collaborated with Paulo on the features The Invisible Guest, Mirage & God’s Crooked Lines and the TV show The Innocent. The Last Night at Tremore Beach will premiere on October 25, 2024 exclusively on Netflix.

Velazquez’s other recent projects include David Schurmann’s My Penguin Friend, which is currently playing in U.S. theaters, as well as Juan Jesús Galocha’s & Pedro Solís’ animated feature Buffalo Kids, which opened in Spanish theaters last month and is currently awaiting a release date in the U.S.
