Karl Sölve Steven (Come to Daddy, The Justice of Bunny King, Uproar, The Girl on the Bridge, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a #@%!) will release a soundtrack album for the New Zealand adventure comedy Bookworm. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and will be released digitally on August 29. Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the soundtrack. Steven’s main theme (which features musician Molly Lewis contributing her otherworldly whistling) is already available to stream/download now and can also be checked out after the jump. Bookworm is co-written and directed by Ant Timpson and stars Elijah Wood, Nell Fisher, Michael Smiley, Morgana O’Reilly, Vanessa Stacey, Nikki Si’ulepa and Theo Shakes. The movie tells the story of a washed-up American illusionist and his long-estranged precocious daughter, who in the midst of a family crisis, venture into the New Zealand wilderness in search of a mythical black panther. The comedy, which premiered at this year’s Fantasia Film Festival, opened in New Zealand theaters last weekend and will be released in Australia on August 29. The film has been picked up by Vertical Entertainment for a domestic release later this year.
