Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Predator, Cast Away, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Polar Express) is attached to score Marvel Studios’ upcoming features Avengers: Doomsday & Avengers: Secret Wars. The films will be directed by Joe & Anthony Russo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War) and star Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom/Victor Von Doom. No other casting announcements have been made yet. Stephen McFeely (The Chronicles of Narnia, Pain & Gain) is writing the screenplay for both installments. The Russos’ company, AGBO, is set to produce both films alongside Marvel Studios. Silvestri has previously scored Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger and the 2012 first The Avengers movie, as well as the Russo Brothers-directed Avengers: Infinity War & Endgame. He has also recently been collaborating with the Russos on the upcoming Netflix film The Electric State. Silvestri and the directors have confirmed their next collaboration on Instagram. Avengers: Doomsday is set to open in theaters on May 1, 2026 and Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled to be released on May 7, 2027.

Silvestri’s other recent projects include Robert Zemeckis’ Here, which will be released in theaters nationwide on November 15, 2024.
