French singer/songwriter Woodkid has contributed the main title theme to the new Peacock original series Those About to Die. The show is based on the nonfiction book of the same name by Daniel P. Mannix and stars Iwan Rheon, Anthony Hopkins, Sara Martins, Gabriella Pession, Jojo Macari, Dimitri Leonidas, Moe Hashim, Tom Hughes,Rupert Penry-Jones, Emilio Sakraya, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, David Wurawa, Eneko Sagardoy, Pepe Barroso, Gonçalo Almeida and Romana Maggiora Vergano. The 10-part historical drama directed by Roland Emmerich & Marco Kreuzpaintner is scored by Andrea Farri and follows a group of characters from all corners of the Roman Empire who collide at the explosive intersection of sports, politics, and dynasties. Woodkid has previously composed music for several media projects, mostly notably the score for Jonás Cuarón’s 2014 feature Desierto. Those About to Die will premiere tomorrow, July 18 on Peacock.
