Nonesuch Records will release a soundtrack album for the PBS documentary Leonardo di Vinci. The album features the original score from the 2-part film written by Pulitzer Prize- & Grammy Award-winning composer Caroline Shaw (Fleishman Is in Trouble, The Sky Is Everywhere, Madeline Madeline) and performed by Attacca Quartet, Sō Percussion and Roomful of Teeth. Leonardo di Vinci is directed by Ken Burns, Sarah Burns & David McMahon, narrated by Keith David and explores the life and work of the titular 15th century polymath (voiced by Italian actor Adriano Giannini) and his achievements, which are brought to life through his personal notebooks, primary and secondary accounts of his life, and interviews with modern scholars, artists, engineers, inventors, and admirers. The documentary will premiere on November 18 & 19, 2024 on PBS.
