Gilad Benamram (FaudaSuspicion, Club Life, Bard of BloodThe Girl on the Train) has composed the original score for the upcoming crime thriller 1992. The film is directed by Ariel Vromen (The Iceman, Criminal) and stars Tyrese Gibson, Scott Eastwood, Ray Liotta, Clé Bennett, Christopher A’mmanuel, Dylan Arnold, Michael Beasley, Tosin Morohunfola, Ori Pfeffer and Oleg Taktarov. The movie follows a father who is desperately trying to rebuild his life and his relationship with his son amidst the turbulent 1992 LA uprising following the Rodney King verdict, while – across town – another father and son put their own strained relationship to the test as they plot a heist to steal catalytic converters. Vromen also co-wrote the screenplay with Sascha Penn (Power Book III: Raising Kanan) based on a story by Penn. Vromen & Penn are also producing the project with Andreas Rommel, Maurice Fadida (The Vanishing, John Henry) and Adam Kolbrenner (Free Guy, Prisoners). 1992 will be released in theaters on August 30, 2024 by Lionsgate.
