Milan Records has released the international version of the soundtrack album for Studio Ponoc’s Japanese animated feature The Imaginary. The album features the film’s original score composed by Kenji Tamai and agehasprings. Also included is the original end credits song Nothing’s Impossible by A Great Big World featuring Rachel Platten (previously released as a digital single). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to Tamai’s & agehasprings’ main theme below. The Imaginary is directed by Yoshiyuki Momose and stars (in the project’s English language version) Louie Rudge-Buchanan, Evie Kiszel, Hayley Atwell, Sky Katz, Kal Penn, Ruby Barnhill, Jane Singer, LeVar Burton and Jeremy Swift. The movie is based on novel of the same name by A.F. Harrold and illustrated by Emily Gravett and revolves around a young girl and her imaginary companion, a boy no one can see imagined by her to share her make-believe adventures. The film, which opened in Japanese theaters last December, is being released in select U.S. theaters today before premiering next Friday, July 5 on Netflix.
