Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Challengers, Watchmen, Soul, Mank, Gone Girl, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) have contributed music (based on the duo’s Nine Inch Nails track Together from the album Ghosts V: Together) to the first episode (entitled Tomorrow) of the third season of the FX original series The Bear. The show is created by Christopher Storer and stars Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Matty Matheson, Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon. The new season of the comedy follows Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, Sydney Adamu & Richard “Richie” Jerimovich as they do what it takes to elevate their beef stand turned fine dining establishment to the highest level, all while doing their best just to stay in business. Storer is also executive producing the project with Josh Senior, Joanna Calo, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner, Matty Matheson (Ramy) and Hiro Murai (Atlanta, Mr. & Mrs. Smith). Jeffrey “JQ” Qaiyum with Johnny Iguana (who previously scored the first two seasons) have composed the score for the third and seventh episodes of Season 3, while the other seven new episodes don’t have a composer credited. The full new season of The Bear is premiering tonight and is now available to stream on Hulu. (Article updated with additional info on June 27)
Reznor’s & Ross’ other recent/upcoming projects include Scott Derrickson’s The Gorge and Luca Guadagnino’s Queer.
