John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Elf, Iron Man 2, Hocus Pocus, The Emperor’s New Groove) is composing the original score for the upcoming Netflix original animated film In Your Dreams. The movie is directed by Alex Woo (Go! Go! Cory Carson), co-directed by Erik Benson (The Good Dinosaur) and features the voices of Simu Liu and Craig Robinson. The animated comedy tells the story of two siblings who journey into the absurd landscape of their own dreams as they try to make their ultimate dream of a perfect family come true. Woo also co-wrote the screenplay with Benson based on a story by himself and Stanley Moore. Timothy Hahn and Gregg Taylor are producing the project. In Your Dreams will premiere in 2025 on Netflix.
Debney’s other recent projects include Mark Dindal’s The Garfield Movie, which is currently playing in theaters. The composer also has Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga: Chapter 1 (to be released in theaters on June 28) and Chapter 2 (to open in theaters on August 16) coming up.
