Stephen McKeon (Evil Dead Rise, The Hole in the Ground, Pilgrimage, Norm of the North, Queen & Country) has recently scored the upcoming period horror drama The Damned. The film is directed by Thordur Palsson (The Valhalla Murders) and stars Odessa Young and Joe Cole. The movie is set in the 19th century and follows a young widow who faces an impossible choice when a ship sinks off the coast of her isolated fishing village and must decide whether to rescue the shipwrecked sailors or let them perish to ensure their own survival. Jamie Hannigan (Pilgrimage) wrote the screenplay. Emilie Jouffroy & Kamilla Kristiane Hodøl are producing the project with John Keville (Dating Amber), Conor Barry (The Cellar, Cult Killer), Tim Headington (Hugo, The Green Knight), Theresa Steele Page (Miss Juneteeth) and Nate Kamiya (Between the Temples). The Damned will premiere next month at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival.
