Armand Amar (The Concert, The Source, Mia and the White Lion, Days of Glory, The Wolf and the Lion, A Bag of Marbles, Belle & Sebastian) has been hired to score the upcoming French drama Last Breath (Le dernier souffle). The film is directed by Costa-Gavras (Z, Missing, Mad City) and stars Denis Podalydès, Kad Merad, Marilyne Canto, Charlotte Rampling, Karin Viard, Ángela Molina, Hiam Abbass and Agathe Bonitzer. The movie is based on the book of the same title by Régis Debray & Claude Grange and follows a doctor and a renowned writer as they discuss life and death.Michèle Ray-Gavras and Alexandre Gavras (Adults in the Room, The Restless) are producing the project. Amar has previously collaborated with the director on the features Capital, Eden Is West, The Ax and Amen. Last Breath is currently in post-production. No release date has been announced yet.
