Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for the Disney Junior animated series Ariel. The album features ten songs from the show inspired by the diverse genres of Caribbean music, written by Anthony M. Jones, Olivia Waithe, Sofia Quinn, Chantry Johnson, Michelle Zarlenga & Rosemarie Tan and performed by the project’s voice cast. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 28 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The show’s theme song (written by Johnson, Zarlenga & Tan) is already available to stream/download now and can also be checked out after the jump. Ariel is based on Disney’s animated classic The Little Mermaid and features the voices of Mykal-Michelle Harris, Taye Diggs, Amber Riley, Gracen Newton, Elizabeth Phoenix Caro, Cruz Flateau, Yvette Nicole Brown, Kevin Michael Richardson, Melissa Villaseñor and Ron Funches. The series (scored by Christopher Willis) will premiere on June 27 on Disney Junior before making its debut on Disney+ the following day.
