Sarah Lipstate (aka Noveller) has made her television scoring debut on the upcoming Max documentary series Breath of Fire. The 4-part show is directed by Hayley Pappas (White Hot: The Rise & Fall of Abercrombie & Fitch, On Her Shoulders) & Smiley Stevens centers on LA-based millennial known as Guru Jagat who became the face of Kundalini yoga and hose meteoric rise to fame and stunning fall from grace exposed a multi-billion-dollar spiritual empire fraught with abuse. Pappas & Stevens are also executive producing the SecondNature, Condé Nast Entertainment & Vanity Fair Studios production with Matt Ippolito, Agnes Chu (Spiderhead), Helen Estabrook (Whiplash, Tully), Sarah Amos (Marvel 616, Black Twitter: A People’s History), Lexy Altman, Sonia Slutsky (Fair Play), Jennifer O’Connell and Lizzie Fox (First Ladies). Lipstate has previously scored the feature Stand Clear of the Closing Doors, as well as numerous shorts. She also contributed additional music to Morgan Neville’s Roadrunner: A Family About Anthony Bourdain. Breath of Fire will premiere in June at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival and is expected to debut this summer on Max.
