Raffertie (The Continental: From the World of John Wick, White Dragon, Bull, Zone 414, One Way) has composed the original score for the upcoming horror movie The Substance. The film is written and directed by Coralie Fargeat (Revenge) and stars Margaret Qualley, Demi Moore, Dennis Quaid, Hugo Diego Garcia and Joseph Balderrama. No plot details have been announced yet, but the project is being described as an “explosive feminist take on body horror.” Fargeat is also producing the Working Title Films production with Eric Fellner & Tim Bevan (Atonement, Les Miserables, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy). The Substance will premiere this May at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival and will be distributed by Universal Pictures.
Raffertie’s other recent projects include the TV show Alex Rider, which just returned for its third and final season earlier this month on Amazon Freevee.
