François Tétaz (Hesher, Rogue, Wolf Creek, Judy & Punch, The Portal) has provided the original score for the upcoming psychological thriller Surfers. The film is directed by Lorcan Finnegan (Vivarium, Nocebo) and stars Nicolas Cage, Julian McMahon, Nicholas Cassim, Alexander Bertrand, Miranda Tapsell, Justin Rosniak, Finn Little, Rahel Romahn and Charlotte Maggi. The movie follows an man who returns to Australian hometown after living years in the U.S., when he is humiliated in front of his teenage son by a group of local surfers who claim ownership over the secluded beach of his childhood and is brought to the edge of his sanity. Thomas Martin (White Widow) wrote the screenplay. Brunella Cocchiglia (Without Name), Robert Connolly (The Dry, Paper Planes), Leonora Darby (Bull, Into the Deep) and James Grandison (Blueback) are producing the project. The Surfer will premiere next month at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
