Walter Murphy (Family Guy, Wiseguy, American Dad, The Late Bloomer, Raw Force) is returning to score the new Peacock original comedy event series Ted. The show is created by Seth MacFarlane (The Orville, A Million Ways to Die in the West) and stars MacFarlane himself (as the voice of Ted), Max Burkholder, Scott Grimes, Alanna Ubach and Giorgia Whigham. The prequel to the Murphy-scored 2012 & 2015 Ted features is set in 1993 and depicts of the early life of the titular character who is now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, John Bennett and his family. MacFarlane is also executive producing the UCP production with co-showrunners Paul Corrigan & Brad Walsh (Modern Family), as well as Erica Huggins (Get On Up, Under the Banner of Heaven), Alana Kleiman (Books of Blood), Jason Clark (Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, Hotel for Dogs) and Aimee Carlson. Ted will premiere next Thursday, January 11 exclusively on Peacock.
Murphy also continues to score episodes of Fox’s Family Guy and American Dad.
