Gardener Recordings will release the official soundtrack album for the comedy drama Shortcomings. The album features the film’s original music composed by Gene Back (Holler, Cowboys). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 4. Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the album. Shortcomings marks the feature directorial debut of actor Randall Park and stars Justin H. Min, Sherry Cola, Ally Maki, Debby Ryan, Sonoya Mizuno, Tavi Gevinson, Jacob Batalon and Timothy Simons. The movie is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Adrian Tomine (who also wrote the screenplay) and follows a struggling filmmaker managing an arthouse theater who is left to his own devices when his girlfriend moves to New York for an internship and begins to explore what he thinks he might want.The dramedy premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is being released in theaters this weekend by Sony Pictures Classics.
