Eric Slick has made his feature scoring debut on the upcoming thriller The Good Mother. The singer/songwriter and drummer of the rock band Dr. Dog has collaborated with director Miles Joris-Peyrafitte (Dreamland, As You Are) to compose the music for the film starring Hilary Swank, Olivia Cooke, Jack Reynor, Dilone and Hopper Penn. The movie follows a journalist grieving the murder of her son who forms an unlikely alliance with his pregnant girlfriend to track down the killers in the seedy world of drugs and corruption. Joris-Peyrafitt also co-wrote the screenplay with Madison Harrison. Shaun Sanghani (The Fallout, The Last Full Measure), Siena Oberman (Mainstream, The Birthday Cake) and Emma Tillinger Koskoff (Joker, The Wolf of Wall Street) are producing the project. The Good Mother will be released in U.S. theaters on September 1 by Vertical Entertainment.
