Noton has released a soundtrack album for the documentary This Stolen Country of Mine. The album features the film’s original music composed by German electronic music artist Alva Noto (aka Carsten Nicolai) (The Revenant). This Stolen Country of Mine is directed by Marc Wiese and explores the question of a state’s sovereignty in the face of foreign powers. The movie portrays Ecuadorian resistance fighters and journalists who oppose the sell-off of a part of the country’s resources to Chinese investors. The documentary premiered at various film festivals over the last year and will debut in the U.S. on August 8 on OVID.tv.
