Andrew Kawczynski (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Sky Hunter, The Eight Hundred, The Corrupted) has been tapped to score the upcoming pandemic thriller Yesteryear. The film is directed by Adam VillaSeñor and stars Q’orianka Kilcher, Jesse Garcia, Joanna Cassidy, Scott Haze, Angela Sarafyan, Timothy V. Murphy, Yusuke Ogasawara, Tiffany Chu, Crystal Echohawk, Wes Studi, Nick Cassavetes, Peter Facinelli, Chester Gregory, Idara Victor, Tanaya Beatty and Grant Roberts. The movie revolves around a struggling, young Native American actress who psychologically unravels in quarantine amidst the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Black Lives Matter movement, and other 2020 world events. VillaSeñor & Kilcher also wrote the screenplay and are both producing the project. Kawczynski has previously collaborated with VillaSeñor on the director’s last feature, In Full Bloom. Kawczynski has also recently been collaborating with Lorne Balfe on the score for the film adaptation of the video game Gran Turismo, which is set to open in theaters nationwide on August 11.
