Paul Saunderson (Three Identical Strangers, Prizefighter, The More You Ignore Me, The Grand Duke of Corsica, Starfish) has composed the original score for the upcoming Netflix original film Love at First Sight. The movie is directed by Vanessa Caswill and stars Haley Lu Richardson, Ben Hardy, Rob Delaney, Jameela Jamil, Dexter Fletcher and Sally Phillips. The romantic comedy drama is based on Jennifer E Smith’s novel The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight and follows a woman who who misses her flight from New York to London and meets a man in a chance encounter at the airport that sparks an instant connection. Katie Lovejoy (To All the Boys: Always and Forever) wrote the screenplay. Matt Kaplan (To All the Boys series, Before I Fall, XO, Kitty) is producing the project for ACE Entertainment. Love at First Sight will premiere on September 15, 2023 on Netflix.
Saunderson also continues to score Apple TV+’s Trying, which will return for a fourth season. He also recently scored the Chris Packham-narrated BBC natural history documentary series Earth, which will premiere on July 17 on BBC Two.
