Silva Screen Records has announced a reissue of the soundtrack album for the 1982 comedy drama The Escape Artist directed by Caleb Deschanel and starring Griffin O’Neal, Raúl Juliá, Teri Garr, Gabriel Dell, Joan Hackett, Desiderio Arnaz and Jackie Coogan. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Georges Delerue (Platoon, Twins, Steel Magnolias, The Day of the Dolphin, Joe Versus the Volcano, Beaches). The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on June 28. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version, which includes extensive notes by Michael Beek and a new interview with Deschanel. Percepto Records has previously released the world premiere limited edition release of the score back in 2005. The Escape Artists is now available to purchase on DVD.
