Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It, Miracle, Once Upon a Time, 42, Judas and the Black Messiah, Warrior) is the composer of the upcoming FX limited series Justified: City Primeval. The show is developed by Dave Andron (Snowfall) & Michael Dinner (Mayans M.C., Sneaky Pete) based on Elmore Leonard’s novel City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit and stars Timothy Olyphant, Aunjanue Ellis and Boyd Holbrook. The sequel to the Steve Porcaro-scored original Justified series (which aired between 2010 and 2015) follows Raylan Givens as he has left the hollers of Kentucky and is balancing life as a U.S. Marshal with being a part-time father, when he returns to Detroit on a collision course with a violent sociopath and a formidable defense attorney. Andron, Dinner & Olyphant are also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television and FX production with Graham Yost (The Americans, Slow Horses), Sarah Timberman (Elementary, Masters of Sex), Carl Beverly (SEAL Team, Unbelievable), Taylor Elmore (Blood & Treasure, The Stand), Chris Provenzano (Get Low) and V.J. Boyd (Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector) and Peter Leonard. Justified: City Primeval will premiere on July 18, 2023 on FX and will also be available to stream on Hulu.
Isham’s other recent projects include the biographical sports drama Shooting Stars, which just premiered earlier this month on Peacock.
