Mark Bradshaw (Top of the Lake, Bright Star, Resistance, You Won’t Be Alone, The Daughter) has recently scored the Australian Disney+/Hulu original series The Clearing. The show is created by Elise McCredie (Stateless, Ride Like a Girl) & Matt Cameron (Jack Irish, Safe Harbour) and stars Teresa Palmer, Miranda Otto, Guy Pearce, Mark Coles-Smith, Hazem Shammas, Kate Mulvany and Julia Savage. The 8-parter is based on the crime thriller In the Clearing by J.P. Pomare and follows a woman who’s forced to face the demons from her past in order to stop the kidnapping and coercion of innocent children in the future. McCredie & Cameron are also executive producing the Egeria and Wooden Horse production with Elizabeth Bradley, Jude Troy (Cleverman), Richard Finlayson, as well as Jeffrey Walker (Young Rock, Difficult People) who also directed multiple episodes. The Clearing will premiere next Wednesday, May 24 in the U.S. on Hulu and in most other markets on Disney+.
Bradshaw’s other recent scoring projects include Daina Reid’s Run Rabbit Run (co-scored with Marcus Whale), which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and has been picked up by Netflix for a release later this year.
