Why Not Productions has released a soundtrack album for the French historical drama Jeanne du Barry. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Billy Elliott, Proof, Quills, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Jeanne du Barry is directed by Maïwenn and stars Maïwenn herself, Johnny Depp, Melvil Poupaud, Benjamin Lavernhe, Pierre Richard, Pascal Greggory and India Hair. The movie tells the story of Louis XV’s last royal mistress at the Court of Versaille who regains the King’s appetite for life thanks to their relationship. The drama will premiere next week at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival and is also opening in French theaters on May 16.
