Daniel Rossen (of the indie rock band Grizzly Bear) is providing the original score for the upcoming thriller The Line. The film is directed by Ethan Berger and stars Alex Wolff, Lewis Pullman, Halle Bailey, Angus Cloud, Austin Abrams, Scoot McNairy and John Malkovich. The movie explores the moral ambiguity of loyalty to tradition, as seen through a college sophomore in the throes of fraternity culture. Berger also co-wrote the screenplay with Alex Russek. Alexandre Dauman (Summer ’03), Jack Parker, Adam Paulsen (Pig, On the Count of Three) and Lije Sarki (The Peanut Butter Falcon) are producing the project. The Line will premiere this June at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.

Rossen has also recently co-scored Celine Song’s Past Lives (with Christopher Bear), which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be released in theater on June 2, 2023 by A24.
