Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s limited series Transatlantic. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by rapper Mike Ladd and David Sztanke (Keep an Eye Out, Magnetic Beats, Sophie’s Misfortunes). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 7 (click here to stream/download the album). Transatlantic is created by Anna Winger & Daniel Hendler inspired by the novel The Flight Portfolio by Julie Orringer and stars Gillian Jacobs, Lucas Englander, Cory Michael Smith, Deleila Piasko, Ralph Amoussou, Amit Rahav, Corey Stoll, Grégory Montel, Moritz Bleibtreu, Morgane Ferru and Dominique Horwitz. The 7-part period drama tells the story of two Americans and their allies who form a scrappy rescue operation in 1940 Marseilles to help writers, artists and other refugees fleeing Europe during WWII. The series will premiere tomorrow on Netflix.
