Dominik Scherrer (The Missing, The Tourist, Primeval, Ripper Street, The Serpent, The Widow, Baptiste) has been hired to score the upcoming British Paramount+ original series No Escape. The show is based on Lucy Clarke’s best-selling novel of the same name and stars Abigail Lawrie, Rhianne Barreto, Jay Ryan, Sean Keenan, Colette Dalal Tchantcho, Narayan David Hecter, Elmo Anton Stratz, Susie Porter, Josh McConville and Jake Macapagal. The drama follows two best friends who are on the run from their lives in the UK and find refuge on a romantic yacht, The Blue, crewed by a group of enigmatic people sailing through South East Asia. Kris Mrksa (The Murders at White House Farm) is the project’s lead writer and Hans Herbots (The Treatment) is the lead director. Mrska is also executive producing the New Pictures production with Elaine Pyke & Willow Grylls (Cobra, The Innocents). Scherrer has previously scored the Mrksa-created Netflix series Requiem. No Escape is set to premiere this year on Paramount+.
Scherrer is also expected to return to score the second season of BBC’s/HBO Max’s The Tourist starring Jamie Dornan.
