Composer Daniel Hart is set to reteam with director David Lowery to score the upcoming drama Mother Mary. The film is being described as “epic pop melodrama” and will also feature original songs written and produced by Jack Antonoff and Charli XCX. The movie stars Anne Hathaway & Michaela Coel and revolves around a fictional musician and her relationship with an iconic fashion designer. Lowery is also producing the A24 production with Toby Halbrooks & James M. Johnston (Never Goin’ Back), Jeanie Igoe (Miss Juneteenth), Jonas Katzenstein (7500), Maximilian Leo (Stowaway, Home) and Jonathan Saubach. Hart has previously scored all of Lowery’s previous features, including Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, Pete’s Dragon, The Old Man & the Gun, A Ghost Story & The Green Knight, as well as the Disney+ movie Peter Pan & Wendy (to premiere on April 28). Mother Mary will shoot in Germany and is expected to be released in 2024. (Deadline)
Hart also continues to score AMC’s Interview with the Vampire, which has been renewed for a second season.
