Atli Örvarsson (The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Vantage Point, The Edge of Seventeen, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, The Eagle) is scoring the upcoming Apple TV+ original series Silo. The show is created by Graham Yost (Justified, The Americans) based on Hugh Howey’s trilogy of dystopian novels and stars Rebecca Ferguson, Common, Harriet Walter, Avi Nash, Chinaza Uche, David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones and Tim Robbins. The sci-fi drama tells the story of the last ten thousand people on earth and follows an engineer who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined. Yost, Howey & Ferguson are also executive producing the AMC Studios production with Nina Jack, Fred Golan (Sneaky Pete), Rémi Aubuchon (Falling Skies, Powers) and Ingrid Escajeda, as well as Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game, Passenegrs) who also directed the first three episodes. Örvarsson has previously collaborated with Tyldum on the Apple TV+ series Defending Jacob. Silo will premiere on May 5, 2023 on Apple TV+.
Örvarsson also continues to score NBC’s Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. & Chicago Med and CBS’ FBI and FBI: Most Wanted.
