Premiering on Wednesday, February 8, is the ABC comedy Not Dead Yet created by Casey Johnson & David Windsor based on the book Confessions of a 40-something F**k Up by Alexandra Potter and starring Gina Rodriguez, Joshua Banday and Angela Gibbs. The show’s original music is composed by Transcenders (Gossip Girl, Madam Secretary, Black-ish, Our Family Wedding). The series, which follows a broke and newly single woman working to restart the life and career she left behind five years ago who starts getting life advice from an unlikely source, will air Wednesday nights on ABC and will also be available to stream on Hulu.
Premiering on Thursday, February 9, is the Netflix animated series My Dad the Bounty Hunter created by Everett Downing & Patrick Harbin and starring Laz Alonso, Yvonne Orji, JeCobi Swain,Priah Ferguson, Rob Riggle, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jim Rash, Jamie Chung and Leslie Uggams. Joshua Mosley (Tuscaloosa, Bernie the Dolphin, Mass Effect: Paragon Lost) has composed the show’s original score. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album featuring selections of Mosley’s score and several songs from the show this past Friday. Premiering on Friday, February 10, is the romantic comedy Somebody I Used to Know co-written and directed by Dave Franco and starring Alison Brie, Jay Ellis, Kiersey Clemons, Julie Hagerty, Haley Joel Osment, Amy Sedaris, Danny Pudi, Zoe Chao, Olga Merediz and Kelvin Yu. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, The Gift, The Outsider, Boy Erased, The Staircase, The Rental, Enemy, Tokyo Vice). Also premiering on Friday is the Disney Channel animated series Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur based on Marvel’s comic books and starring Diamond White, Fred Tatasciore, Alfre Woodard, Sasheer Zamata, Libe Barer, Gary Anthony Williams, Jermaine Fowler, and Laurence Fishburne. Raphael Saadiq (Lovecraft Country, Underground, Insecure, From Scratch) is the show’s executive music producer. Walt Disney Records has released the theme song Moon Girl Magic written by Saadiq, Halima Lucas & Taura Stinson and performed by White last November and a full soundtrack album will be coming out on Friday. Also premiering on Friday is the Paramount+ original movie At Midnight directed by Jonah Feingold and starring Monica Barbaro, Diego Boneta, Casey Thomas Brown, Fernando Carsa, Catherine Cohen, Whitney Cummings and Maya Zapata. Grant Fonda (Down the Fence, Dating & New York, The House That Rob Built, The Perfect Race) has composed the film’s original movie. The romantic comedy, which centers on the relationship between an ambitious hotel manager and a movie star navigating the politics of Hollywood, will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+.
