Jeff Russo (Fargo, Star Trek: Discovery & Picard, The Night Of, The Umbrella Academy, Legion) is composing the original score for the upcoming HBO Max limited series Love & Death. The show is developed by David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal, The Practice, Big Little Lies) and stars Elizabeth Olsen, Jesse Plemons, Lily Rabe, Krysten Ritter, Patrick Fugit, Tom Pelphrey, Keir Gilchrist and Elizabeth Marvel. The 6-part drama is inspired by the book Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs and a collection of articles from Texas Monthly and centers on Texas housewife Candy Montgomery who murdered her friend from church with an axe in 1980. Kelley is also executive producing the Lionsgate production with Nicole Kidman & Per Saari (The Undoing, Nine Perfect Strangers), Scott Brown, Megan Creydt, Matthew Tinker (The Calling), Michael Klick (Homeland) and Helen Verno (The 1619 Project), as well as Lesli Linka Glatter (Homeland, Pieces of Her) who also directed most of the episodes. Love & Death will premiere this spring on HBO Max.
