Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica) has composed the original music for the upcoming Netflix original film We Have a Ghost. The movie is directed by Christopher Landon and stars David Harbour, Anthony Mackie, Jahi Di’Allo Winston, Tig Notaro, Jennifer Coolidge, Erica Ash, Faith Ford, Isabella Russo, Niles Fitch and Steve Coulter. The supernatural adventure comedy follows a family who finds a ghost with a murky past haunting in their new house and becomes the targets of a shadowy government agency. Landon also wrote the screenplay based on the short story Ernest by Geoff Manaugh. Dan Halsted (The Virgin Suicides, Garden State) is producing the project with Temple Hill’s Marty Bowen (The Maze Runner, The Fault in Our Stars). McCreary has previously scored Landon’s last three features, Happy Death Day, Happy Death Day 2U and Freaky. We Have a Ghost will premiere on February 24 on Netflix.
McCreary also continues to score Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power & Starz’s The Serpent Queen, which will both return for a second season, as well as Starz’s Outlander, which has just recently been renewed for an eighth and final season.
