Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, A Quiet Place, Logan, Scream, Ford v. Ferrari, The Hurt Locker, The Wolverine) has recently been scoring the upcoming action thriller Silent Night. The film is directed by John Woo (Face/Off, The Killer) and stars Joel Kinnaman, Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi), Harold Torres and Catalina Sandino Moreno. The movie follows a father on a mission to avenge his young son who was tragically caught in the crossfire of gang violence on Christmas Eve. Robert Lynn (Prisoner) wrote the screenplay. Basil Iwanyk (Sicario, The Town) and Erica Lee (John Wick series) are producing the project for Thunder Road Pictures, alongside Christian Mercuri (Fall) for Capstone Studios and Lori Tilkin for A Better Tomorrow. Silent Night is expected to be released this year.
Beltrami’s other recent feature projects include Jean-Francois Richet’s Plane (co-scored with Marcus Trumpp), which will be released in theaters nationwide next Friday, January 13.
