Composer Fil Eisler (Empire, Outer Banks, UnReal, How to Be Single, Thunder Force, Superintelligence, The Titan) is reteaming with director Phillip Noyce (Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger) on the upcoming action thriller Fast Charlie. The film starring Pierce Brosnan, James Caan & Morena Baccarin follows a hitman who sets out to avenge his aging mob boss friend after he is assassinated by a rival mob. Richard Wenk (The Equalizer, The Magnificent Seven) wrote the screenplay based on the crime novel Gun Monkeys by Victor Gischler. Daniel Grodnik (The Fanatic, Mara) and Mitchell Welch (Chain of Command, Mindcage) are producing the project. Eisler has previously scored Noyce’s last feature, The Desperate Hour, and also composed the music for the Noyce-produced TV shows Revenge and What/If. Fast Charlie will be released in 2023 by Screen Media Films.
As previously reported, Eisler’s other upcoming feature projects include Chris Nelson’s Reunion and Christian Detter’s The Present.
